Best way to make money off steam?

So, yesterday, I started selling my dupe trading cards, and got 1 usd out of all of it. I can keep going this of course, but I would eventually run out of trading cards. Anyway to get good items, worth at least $1 from games like TF2?

Purchase CS:GO on sale and then when a new operation begins (should be a new one in the next few weeks) purchase the operation pass, play, and get the new operation crates as drops. Usually when a new operations begins, the crates can sell for 5-8$ and they can still sell for 2-3$ a month or so after it has begun. I've made about 40$ just playing casually. Great way to make money while also enjoying a good game.

Well today, I crafted a summer adventure badge, got a rare Dota 2 item, sold it for $300, after fees actually received about $270. So...there's that

New to trading cards/items here.

I got a common DOTA2 item that says it is going for like $0.40.

I don't play Dota so I would like to sell it.

Is it better to sell it immediately as it seems cards/items usually go down in value or wait to see if it becomes more sought after the summer cards are no longer available?

Cs:go has the best value for drops because it's not f2p unlike dota 2 and tf2 which people can just bot to drive down the price of everything. That said though if you really want to make money the best way is to buy low and sell higher, which is tedious as fuck. Also there isn't really an easy way to convert money out of steam into cash. You might aswell just go trade in the financial markets instead.

Do items drop randomly in cs:go? I haven't got one item from it yet.

Still is there really anything on the market that is worth buying low and selling high? Most items are under a dollar ao the difference would only be a few cents. And most items more expensive than that don't get enough traffic to be have a decent turnaround

You won't make anything near as much as you would flipping burgers at your local mcdonalds. Yeah, you might be able to sell a few items for a couple of bucks here and there, but at that point you'll have put as many hours into the game as you've received pennies in return. Want to make money off of steam? Start by uninstalling it.
